Party in the U.S.A. and Challenge day!

Last week Friday we had Party in the U.S.A. day. The campers wrote about a state they would like to travel to, played a few games, and watched the movie Cars. This week Monday was Challenge day. The campers did a few challenges in the gym and then made straw structures to support different objects that they were given. We also went to the public library and the campers got to sing along with a musician. 

 Through out the summer we are reading the book The Wizard of Oz as a group. We will also be watching the movie and comparing and contrasting the two.

The campers made straw structures and many of them completed the challenge with flying colors. Here are pictures of the campers creating and testing out their straw creations!

This Friday the campers will be making a ring toss and we will need paper towel rolls for the craft. Please bring in paper towel rolls. We are excited for this week!
