Random Acts of Kindness, Invention Convention, Space Odyssey, Field Trip, Monster Mash

On Monday the campers went to the library where Stewart Stotts performed.  Stewart Stotts is a musician and a story teller.  We stopped by Savannah Park on the walk back, and then drew shape hopscotch on the pavement.  The weather was very humid today, so we took a break inside to write in our journals and have free time in the gym.

On Tuesday the campers went to the Cambridge Pool and had fun with the toys and diving board. Afterward, the campers had an egg drop! The campers got a hard boiled egg, and had to wrap it using supplies to try to prevent it from cracking when dropped from the stairwell.  A few campers were successful!

On Wednesday the campers went to Ripley Lanes in Cambridge to bowl.  When they returned to the school, the campers made an alien and/or a UFO.  The campers also played a form of dodgeball called Secret Alien Dodgeball.

On Thursday the campers took a field trip to the Dane County Fair.  While at the fair, the campers got to see cows and horses, as well as hold baby ducklings.  When we returned to the school the campers read, and then played crab soccer, where they have to crab walk!

On Friday the campers created "monster" paddles, and passed around balloons with their paddles.  While one group was making paddles another group was in the computer lab, then they switched.  Next the campers watched the movie, "Where the Wild Things Are".  After that, the campers visited the splash park - it was a great day for it!
