Storytellers!

Yesterday was Storytellers Day so we decided to let our creativity flow!

We got a little bit messy making decorative paper using a technique called shaving cream marbling!

Then we used our paper as the cover of our very own books!

Later we made puppets with TONS of supplies and created some very cool things! Take a look!

Reminder: Tomorrow is field trip day! We are going to the Goodman Pool! The only life jackets allowed in the pool are life jackets that have been approved by the US Coast Guard. Before sending your child with a life jacket please verify that it is US Coast Guard approved by looking for the number on the back of the life jacket! There are lots of things to do at the Goodman Pool appropriate for all ages. We will group children based on their swimming abilities and they will be allowed to explore the pool area appropriate for them with a counselor!

Can't wait for tomorrow! :)

Symphony of the Five Senses

Today we explored our 5 senses - hearing, sight, taste, touch, and smell!

We started our day at the library and saw Yo-Yo Man! He was amazing!

Watch Mark Hayward's videos on YouTube! Yo-yo Man!

We read a book about the 5 senses and even ate our snack with our eyes closed and our noses plugged!

Then we used all of our senses while playing games in the gym! -- We closed our eyes while playing lawn games!

And used spatial awareness to knock over and pick up cones during this fun team game!

We used our sense of touch to paint pictures with our fingers and got a little messy!

We finished our day with quiet reading time!

Today was a blast! Looking forward to tomorrow!

Whitewater Aquatic Center

A few weeks ago we went to the Whitewater Aquatic Center for our field trip and the kids had a blast!

Take a look at all the fun we had!

Lounging in the lazy river...

Playing basketball...

Splashing in the pool...

And sliding down the water slide!

Great job catching the kids, Kody!

Can't wait to go swimming again for our field trip this week! *Hint Hint*
