Lake Ripley Lanes and Lake Ripley Beach

Thursday the campers went of a field trip to Lake Ripley Lanes bowling alley. They had a blast played unlimited bowling with one another. After bowling the campers had a chance to relax at the Lake Ripley Beach. They splashed around, looked for seashells, and had some fun on the playground. What a good way to kick off the 4th of July weekend!

Everyday Heroes, Mission Celebrate, and Party in the U.S.A.

Monday the campers learned about everyday heroes. They made comic books about a hero of their choice, they played stuck in the mud and doctor, enjoyed a story telling musician at the library, and also made everyday hero puppets. Tuesday the campers celebrated all different types of holidays and events. They played pin the candle on the birthday cake math game, line tag, King Pin, and decorated cupcakes. We also went to the CAP pool and enjoyed some swim time. Wednesday the campers were able to celebrate Independence day! They made Popsicle stick flags, created straw blown fireworks, wrote about their plans for the 4th of July, played America themed computer games (http://kids.usa.gov/), and had fun outside.
