Jump Around and Relax/ Recharge

Thursday the campers got to show their Wisconsin Badger spirit with the theme Jump Around. They made Bucky Badger masks, played some Bucky Badger games in the computer lab (buckysbuddies.com), went for a penny scavenger hunt, and played ultimate football. Friday the campers were able to take some time to relax before the weekend. They played river race in the gym, made stress balls, learned different relaxation exercises, watched Frozen, and made melted Olaf snacks.

Picasso's Playground, Camp Mash Up, and Rio 2 and Goodman Pool

Monday the campers got to channel the artist inside of them during Picasso's Playground. The campers made sponge paint art, played a post- it note body part game, Man from Mars, and Color Guard. Tuesday the campers mixed things together with camp mash up. They made flying snakes with many different colors, played soccer football, steal the bacon, picked whatever math games they wanted to play, and went to the CAP pool. Wednesday was field trip day! The campers went to see the movie Rio 2 and then went to the Goodman Pool to swim in the sun.

Friday we will be watching Frozen with the campers and will ready to relax and recharge!

Rosy Lanes Holsteins Farm, Honey Acres, Mullens' Dairy Bar and Drive- In Movie Day

We began our field trip this week at Rosy Lanes Holstein Farm, where campers were given a tour of the farm that is home to over 1500 dairy cows. During the tour, campers were able to pet a one day old calf and see cows being milked. After the tour they were given samples of string cheese made with the milk from the cows on the farm. After our tour of the farm, we ventured to Honey Acres Bee Farm and Honey Museum. Campers watched a movie explaining how the bee hive works and the history of bee farming. After the movie, campers toured the museum, which contains a glass window into a real-life bee hive. We were then able to sample different honey products. Campers ended the trip with an ice cream cone from Mullens' Dairy Bar. Friday the campers made license plates, played movie tag, and watched Cars 2, to go along with the Drive In Movie theme. The campers also went to watch and cheer on the bikers that came through for Bike Wisconsin. Later in the day the campers played water games and had water fights to beat the heat.
