Ooey Gooey, Mismatch, and Mystery Day

Monday was Ooey Gooey! The campers made Kool-aid playdough and did shaving cream math. They also went to the library and played blob tag in the gym. Tuesday was the first day of the CAP pool. The campers had a great time. They also made mismatched designs out of different types of supplies. Wednesday the campers wrote with invisible ink, made masks, and played mystery/secret agent games on the computer. Country Springs and Water World

We had a great first field trip at Country Springs!  The water park had slides, a water playground, basketball hoops and a hot tub for the campers to enjoy. Here is a link to the hotel: http://www.countryspringshotel.com/. On Friday, it was Water World! We started off our day by making penny boats out of aluminum foil and played Octopus in the Gym. Next, we made our own aquariums out of paper plates and had some fun with water. We ended our day like we will every friday with a movie and a special snack. First days of Camp: Team Spirit, Summer Bucket List, Magic Madness

The first few days of camp have been a blast! On Monday we started off with Team Spirit. The campers got to know each other by playing the Adjective Name Game and I like my neighbor who. They also used teamwork during the game clean out the backyard and making a puzzle banner that will be put up next week.  We also got to the Library. Tuesday was Summer Bucket List. Campers were able to write down things they wanted to accomplish this summer in a bucket list. They were also able to research different places that they would like to travel. They played kickball, bozo buckets, and were able to cross off some things from their bucket lists. On Wednesday the campers became wizards with some Magic Madness. Campers made wands and played math Zap It. They also played some fun magic games such as: Catch the dragons tail, Steal the potion, and Giants, Wizards, and Elves. There are some pictures below of the activities that the campers participated in. To see more pictures, go to Shutterfly.(Link to Shutterfly is on the right)
